Agra Fort: Akbar started the
construction of this fort in 1565 AD, but first Jehangir and then
Shahajan added more structures to it after Akbar. The fort features
massive double walls, with four gateways, the fort houses palaces,
courts, mosques, baths, gardens and spacious pavilions within its
surroundings.
Jama Masjid: Jahanara Begum built this mosque in 1648 AD. The
absence of minarets and the shape of the dome gives it an exceptional
character.
Fatehpur Sikri: This royal

Sikandra: The construction of this

1628 AD by Nur Jahan in the memory of her father Ghiasud-Din-Beg.

famous poet and scholar of Jehangir's reign, Allama Afzel Khal Mullah
Shukrullah of Shiraz.
Ram Bagh : 16th century garden is one of the earliest gardens
laid by the Mughals.
Mariyam's Tomb : This red sandstone tomb built in 1611 AD was
dedicated to the Akbar's Rajput wife.
