Location
Loacted at Rajasthan, the northern state of India situated towards the west
of India. Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary is 115 km from Jaipur, which is 232 km
from Agra and 200 km from Delhi, the capital city of India.
About the National Park
The Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over a dry & deciduous
forests. Almost ninety per cent the forest is dotted with the Dhok trees.
The Sariska National Park is spread over an area of 300 sqaure miles. The
Park is situated in the state of Rajasthan in the backdrop of the bushy
hills of Aravali. The park is close to Jaipur, the capital Rajasthan. It was
declared a sanctuary in 1955. Sariska was included in the Project Tiger in
1979 and was recognized as a national park in 1982.
