Mahal. Taj Mahal, the seventh wonder of the world is situated on the bank of
the river Yamuna in Agra, Uttar Pradesh in India. Agra the second of the
Golden Triangle route is one of the most visited places in the world, as it
shelters world's most spectacular monument - The Taj Mahal, The name Taj was
derived from the name of Shahjahan's wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

Shahajan, the fifth Mughal Emperor built Taj Mahal at Agra in the memory of
his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Agra in Uttar Pradesh is one of India's most

as the city of the Taj Mahal, a monument of love and imagination, that

period gave India some of the most spectacular monumental wonders, ever made

carvings reached heights during this period. This era was a turning point in
the field of architecture in India, as it brought many Islamic form of
Architecture from all over the world.
Taj Mahal was one of the most noble wonders created by the Mughals in this
period. This 17th century monuments is the most exclusively made mausoleum
in the world. Shahajahan chose Agra for the construction of the Mausoleum,
as it was the capital of India at that moment and it was more flourished
than any other city of the Mughal rule in India.
The intricate work of stone and marble shows the artistic craftsmanship of
the legendary Indian artisans of that time. It also represents the
advancement of Indian and Mughal architecture at that time.
